England Stun Pakistan with Record-Breaking Chase in Lahore T20This is a test one
In one of the most thrilling T20 internationals of the year, England pulled off a stunning record chase to defeat Pakistan by 6 wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday night.
Chasing a mammoth 231 for victory, England got off to a flying start with opener Jos Buttler smashing 67 off just 28 balls. The momentum was carried forward by Liam Livingstone, who blazed an unbeaten 73* off 35 deliveries, sealing the win with a six over deep mid-wicket in the final over.
Pakistan had earlier posted 230/4, their highest T20 score on home soil, thanks to a fiery 102* by captain Babar Azam and a quickfire 49 from Fakhar Zaman. Despite the big total, Pakistan’s bowlers struggled with their lines under pressure, conceding 17 wides and missing several fielding opportunities.
